How it works

MotoCush™ is a 3 cm layer of honeycomb gel that sits between you and the seat. The gel gives where you press hardest and spreads your weight across the whole pad, instead of the two points that carry it on a bare seat.

A channel down the middle splits it into two padded halves, and the perforated mesh top lets air through. Two adjustable straps hold it on. No tools, no changes to the bike.

Size and fit
LengthWidth at the backWidth at the frontDepth
40 cm36.5 cm17 cm3 cm

Weighs 0.85 kg. Shaped for the rider seat of cruisers, tourers, retro and naked bikes.

Measure the rider part of your seat before you order: on narrow sports seats the pad hangs over the edge.

It raises your seat by about 3 cm.

What's in the box

Care and cleaning

Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry.

It isn't waterproof. If it gets soaked, take it off the bike and let it dry before you ride on it again.

Rider pressing the MotoCush gel seat pad on his cruiser at a lay-by

An hour in, the foam has given up. That's when the shifting starts.

Most seats are foam. Sit on foam for an hour and it presses flat under the two points that carry your weight, and the pressure stays there.

So you shift about. Stand on the pegs at the lights. Plan the next stop sooner than you wanted to.

MotoCush™ puts a layer of honeycomb gel between you and the seat. The gel flexes and spreads your weight across the whole pad, and the mesh top lets air move underneath you. Same bike, same seat, longer days.

Look closer. This is what takes the pressure.

Hand pressing into the honeycomb gel of the MotoCush seat pad

The honeycomb

The gel cells flex on their own, so the pad shapes itself to you instead of pushing back in two spots.

Close-up of the perforated mesh top over the honeycomb gel

The mesh top

Perforated mesh over the gel lets air through, so it doesn't trap heat like a foam pad.

Elastic strap hooked to a loop on the gel seat pad's edge, pulled snug down the side of a cruiser seat

The straps

Two adjustable straps run down the sides and under the seat. Pull them snug and it stays put. Off in seconds when you park.

What changes on a long ride

More miles before the first stop

Your weight spread across the whole pad, not two points.

Fits the bike you already ride

Straps to the rider seat of most cruisers, tourers and retro bikes. No new seat to order, no tools.

Moves between bikes

Unhook the straps and it goes on the next bike in a minute.

Air moves underneath you

The mesh top and open honeycomb let heat out on long summer days.

Barely changes your reach

3 cm deep, so you sit a touch higher, not on a cushion.

Gel seat pad strapped to the rider seat of a black cruiser

On the seat in a minute

  1. Quick way: strap it on

Lay it on the seat, nose towards the tank. Run the straps down the sides, hook the clips under the seat and pull them snug.

  2. Tidy way: under the seat

Lift the seat off, lay the straps across the seat base and refit the seat. A firmer hold with nothing on show.

  3. Ride

Leave it on, or unhook it when you park.

Not a new seat. Not a sheepskin.

Custom and gel seats

Hundreds of pounds and weeks of waiting, for one bike.

Foam and sheepskin pads

Soft for the first hour, then flat and hot.

We know most riders have tried a seat pad that went flat by lunch. Take MotoCush™ on the long ones: the motorway run, the all-day loop, the tour.

Questions riders ask before ordering

Will it fit my bike?

It's 40 cm long, 36.5 cm wide at the back and 17 cm at the front, shaped like a rider seat. It suits the rider seat of most cruisers, tourers, retro and naked bikes. On narrow sports seats it hangs over the edge, so measure the rider part of your seat before you order.

Does it make the seat higher?

Yes, by about 3 cm. If you're already on tiptoes at the lights, keep that in mind.

Does it stay put?

Two adjustable straps run down the sides and hook under the seat, or go under the seat pan if you lift the seat off. Pull them snug and it stays where you put it.

Does it get hot?

The mesh top and open honeycomb let air through, so it runs cooler than a foam pad. Like any seat, don't leave it baking in strong direct sun when you park.

Is it waterproof?

No. If it gets soaked, take it off the bike and let it dry before you ride on it again. To keep it dry when you park, pull the rain cover over it (2 free with the set or 2 pads, or £10 with 1 pad). It works all year round, just not below −10 °C.

Is this just a gel pad with a motorcycle name on it?

Fair question. Honeycomb gel pads are made by a lot of factories. We picked this one for the shape of a rider seat, the breathable mesh top and straps that hold on a moving bike.

And you get 90 days to ride on it before you decide.

How do I clean it?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it air dry.

What's in the box?

The gel seat pad with two adjustable straps and hook clips. No tools needed. The rain cover comes separately: 2 free with the set or 2 pads, or £10 with 1 pad.

Do you make one for my passenger?

Yes. The MotoCush™ Gel Passenger Pad is sized for the pillion seat (31 × 21 cm). Pick the Rider + passenger set above: both pads and 2 rain covers for £84.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days with free tracked UK delivery and usually arrive in 4–8 days.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Ride on it for 90 days. If the long days don't feel better, send it back for a full refund. You've lost nothing.
